About the clubThe Lions Club of Launceston-Windmill Hill is a group of men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. The club is part of the world's largest service organisation, Lions Clubs International in District 201T1 - Tasmania, MD 201 - Australia. The Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the East Launceston Bowling Club, Adelaide Street, East Launceston, at 6.00pm. Visitors from other clubs and prospective members are welcome to join us, please contact the club at least a day before the meeting you wish to attend. Through hands-on help and fundraising the club builds our community and promotes positive endevours. The club was chartered in 1961 and is one of four in the Launceston area. This website, established in 1995 was the first by a Lions Club in Australia. Becoming a LionLions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in
their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their
volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing
unmet health and education needs worldwide. |
